Summer colds and new inspirations

Hi all,

I was sufferring from a summer cold at the beginning of this week and feeling sorry for myself.
I did a little sneaky and I closed the studio on Wednesday to visit my local Knit and Knatter group. I was invited to it by the lovely Sue Pinner.

I was made to feel very welcome and I even offered to crochet a granny square for a project that Sue was working on. I sat there for a moment and I was thinking 'Right, Granny square, where do I begin?' I had a total mind blank! Granny squares are the first thing I crocheted.
Anyway, I managed it, I don't think anyone noticed!!

I was made to feel very welcome in the group and it is the kind of group I have been looking forward to joining for ages. I have even tried to set up a little group in my studio, but I couldn't seem to find any other crocheters.

I also managed to get hold of a copy of Sue's beautiful book, Granny Squares. Where have I been? Why have I not seen this before. I love it.

I have already been eyeing up a project for a very old stool. I inherited from my Gran in Yorkshire.
It still needs sanding down and treating. Watch this space.

I so hope I can make the next knit and knatter.

After almost recovering from my cold, I woke up one morning and found my head full of business ideas. I just need to get my head down and put them into practice!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I am in need of some crochet in aspiration.  I have crocheters block!!!
