Personilised Diary cover

I have been making diary/notebook cover for several years now.

My friend, Angela, is always my guinea pig with new projects. Angela was the first person I made a diary cover for.

So, for a birthday treat I made her a new one.

She loves being my guinea pig, because she tends to get loads of freebies!!!

Simple tote

I usually don't make totes, because they're not challenging enough. But, I made this one for a friends birthday.

She loved it.

Funny

I saw this and thought this is how I feel sometimes when I'm crocheting the same old things :-)

Mid week treats

Must share with you some of my treats I got from my other half today (I ordered but he paid!!)

I also got a picnic rucksack, matching tote and make up bags.

These are my (our) first purchases from Cath Kidston. All in the sale, so even sweeter!!!

» My first pair of haberdashery scissors . . . How have I gone 5 years without a pair? They are in their own little pouch, so great for taking out with me.

» A small tape measure, I have loads, but I had to have it matching!!!

» A lush set of two vintage inspired tins. These will hold my special vintage buttons and lace.

Hmmm do I do crochet before I sleep? I always regret it in the morning because I don't want to wake up!!!

Away with the fairies

What a busy weekend.
For some reason I have gone garden design crazy!
The area in this picture is at the bottom of my garden. I put a picture on my bloggers a few weeks ago about strimming the weeds.
Well, I had this burst of energy to blitz this area. It is actually 5 metres wide.
So, again, I strimmed all the weeds to ground level, covered in some weed prevention sheeting stuff (which was a little like patchwork!!!) and then threw down 5 bags of mulch.
I worked quickly on this little project and when I got to the opposite side of the apple tree, I found the rhubarb plant.
I bet your thinking, how can you lose a rhubarb plant. Well, we did but that's another post!!

Whilst I was bending down I looked to my right and found this amazing old curved iron fencing. It used to be in the front garden on a wall, but it got pulled down . . . Criminal I know, but it had something to do with a men and their cars, say no more!!!

Anyway, my 5 year old daughter has been asking for a fairy garden, so she got one, well the start of one, under the apple tree.

The little toadstool is actually a birdfeeder, but I thought it would be great for a make belief fairy house.
So, that led to my daughter asking what do fairies eat and drink.
Believe it or not, there is no end of information about this topic, I just skImmed it quickly and came to the conclusion it's sweet fruit and nuts and morning dew from grass!!!

Aww how cute! I do want to point out I don't actually believe in fairies, but I do encourage the imagination in my kids!!!

So come back and see what is new in the fairy garden!!!
