Our adventure begins . . . Eeek

Aren't the summer hols flying by? It will be back to school before we know it and we will be saying 'oh we didn't do that . . .'

Anyway, with the update with my goings on.

We started our holiday adventure on the 6th August. It was going to a busy one!! We had a great surprise for the kids!!

We set off to Bournemouth with excitement. We set off  early doors with hope to get to the beach before lunch time.
That didn't quite work out, the traffic was bad, but we got there at lunch time and parked up and headed straight to the beach. It was a lovely beach. It was busy but you could cope with it.

Sand o sand, I hate how it gets into everything. The kids seem to get dry and sand free and then they want to go back in the water, such fun!!!!

A visit to the local Quarry park

I hate going anywhere where it is busy, I can be quite unsociable at times and just like to be in the company of the ones I know and love.

One morning I got the kids up quickly, packed some snack, grabbed a ball and we set off to the park. In the town park we have some beautiful gardens, the Dingle. The dingle was designed by the famous gardener, Percy Thrower. They are so enchanting and are in the finals for the Britain in Bloom awards.

The gardens are so well planned out in terms of height and colour coordinations of the plants. My favourite this year is the Fuchsia part standard. I love how they grow like a small tree and then it sprouts its beautiful flowers from the top.
My daughter loves the layout of the dingle. There are secret paths and the little gardens are layed out in such a way that they are like mini mazes.

The flower displays always take my breath away and the green green grass is so tempting to touch, I just want to walk on it bare foot (but not allowed) Lush!!!

There is also I beautiful pond with the most darling ducklings. It was lovely to hear my 2 year old lil man to burst out into '5 little ducks went swimming . . .' But sadly we forgot the bread to feed them. The ducks don't get to see much of the bread though, my two little tikes like to nibble on it!!!

The entrance to the dingle always reminds me of a secret garden. It just calls you in, to discover its secrets . .

Visit me again to read the next chapter of the summer holidays!!!

Hello Hello Hello . . .

Well, I am trying to catch up with myself. I feel like my feet haven't touched the ground for the last month.
It has been a bit crazy here with all the the things I mentioned in my last post here, plus all the other day to day little adventures!! I think about my blog several times a day but being a mum, being a partner, working, craft, hols and cleaning blah blah blah just got in the way.

So, deep breath and i will try and catch up . . . o boy.

I just have to share this picture with you. My daughter is five and isn't really a girly girl, but when I went to buy her some emergency shoes in Yorkshire, we spotted these really cute ones. We couldn't resist getting the same pair, and actually her feet don't look much smaller than mine!!!
Everything is so hectic when we visit Yorkshire that we never get the chill out time. We seem to drive from one relative  to another.

What's next . . .

Erm well, After visiting my family in Yorkshire, my Mum and sister came back to my house. Once again, it is always fly by the seat of your pants here and I didn't get chance to take any pictures because I was working, so my Mum and sister spent time just soaking up the sights of Shrewsbury and looking after the kids for a day (which should of been their dads job, but he had to work, convenient!!!)

Anyway, onto the exciting stuff

{} moving my crafty place to a small corner of my mans office (well its not really a small corner, we worked out its just over half, oooops)
{} organising our trip away to peppa pig world and a beach (can't say it's my idea of fun but the kids are only small . . . And they don't know yet, would be prefer Disney land, but the budget wouldn't stretch that far!!! ) and London. 4 nights in total. Soooo excited.
{} visiting the quarry and dingle in town, where the flower show will be held. Plus, they have reached the RSH finals, for Britain in bloom. When you see the pictures I took today, you will see which. So fantastic and inspirational.

Bye bye bunting

I'm finally sending my granny bunting off to Yarndale.

It has been finished a while and gathering dust in the cupboard!!!

Any ho, farewell Granny bunting and I will hopefully see you in September blowing in the breeze with your Granny friends.

That sinking feeling

You know when you lose something precious and you feel sick to your stomach?

Well that's how I feel.

I lost my very special pandora ring in the school grounds this morning.

I put it in my pocket whilst I put sun cream on my daughter.

Unfortunately it was the same pocket as my phone and yes you've guessed it. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and forgot my ring was in there.

I've contacted the school and hopefully some kind person will hand it or I will find it when I collect my daughter.

I feel sick, how can I be so stupid

Farewell gifts

Mentioned in a previous post here
I had made some personal totes for my daughters teacher who is retiring.
We have been busy again and made a couple more small gifts.

» Jar of jelly beans
'Thanks for BEAN my teacher'

» Jar of homemade cookies
'I am one smart cookie because of you'
My daughter loved making the cookies and begged to lick the bowl. You just can't refuse . . . It's part of growing up!!

» Home grown tomato plant
'Thanks for helping me grow'
This tomato plant was grown from seed and planted and cared for by my daughter.

I'm sure Mrs D will love her gifts and some gifts will only last a few moments and some will last a like time. I am so excited!

I wish I received handmade gifts!!!

All these ideas I got from pinterest. Find me on pinterest and looked at what else I've pinned: windthebobbin81
