New home

This basket is my bargain ebay £5 find. I think the wool looks pretty all butted up together. I don't want to use it!!! I'm sure I Will xxx

Few more rows

I've not done so much on the blanket this last few days. But, managed 3 or 4 rows. I'm not sure if the colours are working well. I am trying to go for a random but effective look . . . Random it just might be!!!

Blowing the cobwebs away

I went on a stomp to the local forest commission site for a little bit of exercise and to clear the mind!! What a beautiful and tranquil place. The view point at the top is fab Xxx

Something to brighten my day

After dropping the kids off at school n childminder I called for a spray of summer for my table. I didn't want anything too vibrant or artificial, so I went for something that subtle and simple Xxx

Small messenger bag - inside

Small messenger bag.

I haven't done some sewing for a few weeks, so today I made something I always make . . . A bag. Using Tilda fabric. Great gore through school run to throw my keys n phone into. Xxx

ROCKABILLY Dolls

How cute n retro looking are these? Would look great perched on a shelf in the hallway.
Two of their names are Brassy Betty n No messing Maude!!! I'm definitely no messing Maude!!!
They remind me of my Gran, she's a strong yorkshire woman, who used to wear a hair net to cover her rollers!!! She is Brassy Betty for sure!!! This is a must make. The pattern can be found in issue 28 of Mollie Makes. Xxx

And rest . . .

I've been on a marathon crocheting  session with this, so I have put it down to rest. I think the colours are looking really good. Granny rainbow!! Its one of the brightest things I've made, I can't stop looking at it and touching. Can't wait to finish it.

We are having some set backs with the caravan, so I don't need to work it so quickly!!! Such fun . . .

W.I.P . . .

WoW this blanket is soooooo easy, addictive and effective. This is about 15 hrs of hooking. Not quite sure where I stole that extra time from. Maybe I did it in my sleep . .
long way to go though hmmmm

The next day

Has I got into the blanket,it got addictive. So, by the end of the next day and 3 hrs later . .

The start of the granny stripe blanket

So, We have a little caravan that is almost the same age as me!! I have had this great idea that I want to renovate it inside. Mmmm  it seemed a good idea at the time. I wouldst get my hands on the caravan for a while, so using insprition from Attic 24, I started a granny stripe blanket.

First I made a 300 chain. . . . Boring. Plus, it is very wide!!!

My new project

I can't call it WIP (work in progress) because I haven't done anything yet!! But I Will be posting an update . . .

Yarndale granny bunting challenge

I have been following the great blog of Attic 24. Lucy from Attic 24, has made a call out for all those people who can crochet to make a few granny bunts to go to Yarndale to by displayed. So, I made some, and love them. I may make some for my daughters room too!!!
Take a look at Attic 24's blog, it's really inspired me to get my hooks out http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/

Also, visit the Yarndale website and it will tell you what it is all about. I'm hopefully going to make it, if we can find accommodation :-(

Fabric book covers

I've been making fabric  book covers for a long time now. But, I needed to update my fabric choice. This time I chose 'Tilda' range. They work really well, don't you think??
